Stitching Love Into Every Bib
Patterns and Memories…

đź Stitching Love Into Every Bib â In Memory of Tara
Over the years, Iâve made countless baby bibs for the sweet little ones in my life. Some were for my own babies, others for the children of dear friends. Iâve made many bib patterns along the way, some of my favorites from my old website, HomeSpun-Threads. But one set of bibs holds a place in my heart unlike any otherâbecause of the baby they were made for and the mother who held him close.
Her name was Tara.
I met Tara at church when she was holding her newborn baby boy. She was a single mom, full of love for her child, but life had been unbearably hard. While she was having her baby, she lost her job. In desperation to keep her apartment, she pawned her carâs titleâbut when she couldnât make the payments, the car was gone too. Soon after, she couldnât make rent.
When I learned what she was facing, my husband and I invited her to move in with us. For six months, she and her little boy became part of our family. Her baby and my three boys played and laughed together, filling our home with joy. Watching her slowly spread her wings againâto find hope, stability, and courageâwas a gift Iâll never forget.
After half a year, Tara moved into her own place and started her life anew with her son. She went on to get married and have another precious child. She loved her family fiercelyâher children were her whole world.
Taraâs life was so precious, and she meant the world to me. I regret every day that I didnât spend more time with her before she passed. Her absence leaves a hole in so many hearts, and my deepest prayer is for her children as they grow, carrying her love with them always.
So today, I want to honor her memory by sharing with you some of my free baby bib patternsâpatterns Iâve used over and over through the years. And as you make them, I hope youâll do one simple thing: pray for Taraâs children. Pray for their joy, their peace, and for the comfort of knowing their mama loved them beyond measure.
Here are the patterns, from my heart to yours. May each stitch carry love.
With love and remembrance,
Aimee đ
